It took a long time but we put all the via ferrata reports into a Google Maps at your disposal. 375 itineraries available to be able in just a few moments to locate the via ferratas in an area and get the road directions from Google to reach directly the parking lot from which to take the trip. Each placeholder also has a link to the report on the site.
The various itineraries are indicated as "placeholders" and each placeholder is positioned at the point where our review takes the trip. In this way, get in the car, locate the via ferrata on the map, click on the road directions and start driving without wasting time searching for the exact route on the map. You don't need to have the report on hand to get directions on where to park.
The map is free, always will be and is available at this link https://www.ferrate365.it/mappa-vie-ferrate/ .
We only ask for a social media sharing to promote our new site.
Once shared, the "Access Map" button will appear. Click on the button and you will be directed to the Google Map.
If you have a Google account we advise you to be logged in so that the map will be automatically added to your Personal Maps. If you don't have a Google account you can still see the map but it won't be saved between your maps. We recommend opening a Google account for free (more information available here).
You will see the whole map with placeholders of various colors based on the difficulty of the aided route. In increasing order of difficulty, we pass from the green of the Easy to Black ways of the Extremely Difficult routes. Browsing the map you can see the various routes and find out which routes are in the area of your interest. It is a very useful tool when you want to plan trips, multi-day holidays or combine multiple itineraries together.
By clicking up on the magnifying glass it is possible to filter the routes by entering a text. We have tried inserting "Bocchette" and the list of routes is restricted to those routes that include the word "Bocchette".
It is also possible to filter the via ferratas only for difficulty, so that for example you can only see the Very Difficult Via Ferrata and locate them in a single glance on the map. You know when you say "I spent a few days on holiday in Valle d'Aosta and I would like to see what challenging via ferratas are in the area". Now it is very easy to see it in a few moments.
For each placeholder there is a link to the report on the site. Alongside the route name there is a button for driving directions (blue circle).
Clicking this button opens Google Maps and it is easy to enter your address to get an estimate of the time needed to reach the starting point of the itinerary.
For a better use of the map available from a smartphone or tablet, we recommend downloading the official Google Maps app available for both smartphones and tablets.
If you are logged into your Google account when you have opened the via ferrata map, you will have this map automatically added to your maps even in the Google Maps app. You can also click the star to add it to your favorites.
Here's how you can access the map from your smartphone in 3 strokes of your finger.

Scroll down the submenu on the right until you open "Maps". Click on "Vie Ferrate Maps in Italy".
