Short itinerary that in its last aided stretch allows you to reach an iconic rocky outcrop below Monte Maddalena in the Brescia Prealps. Easy trail without technical difficulties suitable for beginners and families.
The starting point is the parking lot of the Ristorante al Grillo in via della Maddalena a Brescia. It is a narrow road that goes back to Trattoria Alpino and then continues. Parking is available near the restaurant.
From the parking area we cover the CAI path to the ex Rifugio della Maddalena. We continue towards the radio repeaters placed on the mountain Denno. We follow the white-blue signs of the “Tre Valli Bresciane” path (3V). We take a left-hand bend on a small road that has only been cemented for a while. Then descending you reach El Golet where a sign will indicate to the right for the Path of Gambasse. This path leads us to the Spiers of St. Gall. We then turn right again along the Sentiero per Campana and therefore we will be under the Sperone del Crocefisso for this short, aided path (30 'from the parking lot).
The first aided section goes up a series of steps made with low difficulty wooden frames. We are now on a rocky inclined ramp, always aided but not difficult. We turn to the left and soon we arrive under an inclined metal ladder . We are now in the last stretch, more vertical than the others, to go up again before reaching the summit of the exposed spur characterized by a bell a bell that can be played (10 'from the start - 40' total).
Backwards on the same route up to the car (45 'from the top - 1h 30 total).
This short itinerary goes up a marked spur near Monte Maddalena. The aided sections do not present technical difficulties. Given the low altitude it is passable all year round.
